This is an antique entrance boot scraper. An English, cast iron doorway shoe cleaner and pull, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.


Generously sized scraper with a delightful appearance
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Cast iron form presents a good, consistent graphite finish
Good weight in the hand at a weight of 4.52kg (9.96 lb)


Unusually generous scraper bar with a width of 22cm (8.75'')
Pronounced boot pulls adorn either end of the bar
Maker's mark for J & J Siddons and pattern number 57 engraved to the scraper


Oval quarterfoil form to the drip tray with a decorative cast edge
Tray replete with a pair of mounting holes for setting into concrete or tiles
Maker's mark and number repeated upon the base


This is an attractive and nicely proportioned antique entrance boot scraper, with a fine late Victorian appeal. Delivered ready for the doorway.
