This is an antique decorative fire back. An English, cast iron fireplace backrest in Neoclassical taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.


Pleasingly cast with an eye-catching pattern and classical figure
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good, original order throughout

Central panel presents a male figure stood over the sea
Neoclassical motif suggests the figure to be Neptune, also known as Poseidon in Greek mythology
