This is an antique veranda tea table. An Indian, mahogany and copper octagonal Benares table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.


Exquisite detail and great size emphasise this excellent example
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Select stocks with a distinctive ebonised finish
Profusely pierced fretwork creates visual interest throughout


Striking inset copper tray to the top, with an ornate engraved pattern of repoussé and fretwork
Of fine appearance, with a central rosette and outer fish symbolism
Each leg adorned with relief carvings, issuing flowerheads on stems
Cross hatch panels adorn each leg, with finely pierced fretwork
