This is a large antique fireplace set. An English, cast iron fire basket and andirons suite with gothic revival taste, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.


Excellent proportion and a bold, traditional appearance for the wider hearth
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in gently time-worn order
Substantial cast iron presented in a good, consistent graphite finish
Suite contains a wide basket with two elegant fire dogs


Striking swan neck andirons with a serpentine form and distinctive demi-lune front legs
Fire basket rests along the long support arms of each andiron
