Antique French Champagne Grape Harvest Log Basket – AE

A beautiful hand-made wicker champagne basket from France used to harvest grapes in the champagne region. The coloured markings identify the grower and vineyard it belonged to. The basket has reinforced sides with chestnut splints and a pair of oak wooden base runners give extra strength and manoeuvrability. It is very sturdy and perfect for storage, logs by the fire, toys, laundry.

Workshop Report: The basket is structurally sound with some wear to the wicker in places. Historical worm has been treated.
As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
