Antique Maxlume Industrial Pendant Light

An original cast steel bulkhead light manufactured by ‘Maxlume’.The light was originally used in a paint factory and consists of a linear prismatic flameproof glass lens and components to ensure illumination in all conditions.
Maxlume Lighting was established during the 1920s in Birmingham, England, manufacturing a variety of lighting fixtures. In the 1950s the company was taken over by Verity’s, although the lights were still manufactured under the registered Maxlume makers mark.

This light is a scarce find and would look great in any property. It can be utilised in either a horizontal or vertical orientation making it suitable for both wall and ceiling applications.

Circa: 1950s

Origin: Paint Factory, Ireland

Workshop Report: The cast metal casing has been polished and waxed, internally a new CE Certified E27 (screw) bulbholder has been fitted ready for installation.
This product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
