French Vintage Wall Map Delagrave – Africa No. 12


An original large double sided geographical school map of the Africa region by French professor A Gibert for the educational map maker Delagrave. Original collection, by A. Gibert. 1930s-40s
Delagrave Bookstore, 15 rue Soufflot, Paris.


One side of the map depicts the physical geography – Physical Africa (Sudan, Sahara, Atlas, Kilimanjaro, Zambezi, Congo, Nile, Madagascar, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, Atlantic…) the other side is left as an outline for the pupils to learn the detail.

Workshop Report: As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use. There is some watermarking to the outside edges of the map and some tears and holes around the edges of the map.The eyelets are also worn.
