Vintage Portuguese Grape Harvest Log Basket – E

An original hand woven basket used for transporting the harvested green grapes for vinho verde or red grapes for port ready for shipping. It is made from a heavy weave designed to withstand the heavy use of grape harvesting. It would make an ideal log, laundry or storage basket. The basket still retains its original red marking on one side to identify the vineyard.

Origin: Portugal

Circa: 1950s

Workshop Report: The basket is structurally sound, some wear to the weave in places.

As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
