1940’s Bentwood Debrecen Tri Bar Back Dining Chairs – Set Of Four. Good set of four chairs by the producer Debrecen, it is is hard to be precise about the origin of these chairs as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century Debrecen and Thonet were bentwood makers in Hungary. Three major producers existed in Hungary, producing chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. These chairs are Debrecen from the 1940’s, very early beautiful chairs. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively cleaned and waxed.
