1940’s Tan Sad Workshop Swivel Chairs – Pair.


One of our passions is the heritage of industrial British (and other) brands, and Tan-Sad is one of our all time favourites. We found this pair of chairs in a foundry workshop in Manchester. The chairs are in exceptional original condition, totally original with the trademark vulcanised card seats and backs . The chairs need to be bolted to a floor and then they swing about ninety degrees, the seats can be adjusted from a height of 42cm through to 56cm. The backs are adjustable and the chairs swivel. Iconic unusual industrial pieces of history. The square of ply/osb is not included and would not be sufficient for use with the chairs.


Workshop Report:
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
