1950's Faded Red Round Tolix Side Or Dining Table. Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic café chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934. Tolix used their metal working skill to also produce exquisitely designed but practical café/dining tables to partner their chairs. This small round table design is one of our favourites, in the original colour tone the table has been repainted several times giving the most exceptional character. Made of spun and pressed steel it is strong and stable, our workshop has cleaned the table that is all. Knee Clearance: 65cm
