1950’s New Old Stock Opaque Tile Globe Ceiling Or Wall Lamp.


The wall mount tops are a type of original Bakelite (self insulated) and simply screw into the glass globe. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored. Given the unique nature of the Bakelite wall mounts the original female bulb inserts are retained. The lamp is pre wired and PAT tested ready for connection. The lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. We are specialists in refurbishment of vintage lighting, please contact us with any questions regarding purchase or installation. The lamp is currently wired and fitted for UK and EU compliance. The lamp can be wired for compliance in the US or any global market. Listing is for one lamp.


The bases are available in two options as shown:

• White Bakelite

Workshop Report:


We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired.
