1950’s Original Khaki French Tolix T2 Dining Chair – Set Of Seven. Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic café chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934. This model is the rarely seen wood seat T2. The frames feature the original khaki paint, the seats are birch. The chairs are in great condition and full of character, our workshop has cleaned and serviced them.
