1960’s Berl & Cie Stacking Dining Chairs – Pagholz – Set Of Eight. Founded in Paris in 1858, the Berl company moved to Luxembourg in 1872, in the former barracks of the cavalry in Pfaffenthal. Berl are renowned manufacturers of contract furniture and these chairs were custom made for a convent in Luxembourg. The seats and backs are made from pressure laminated birch by the company Pagholz. Pagholz is an interesting West German company that perfected the manufacturing technique to make laminated furniture with complex multiple shapes. Pagholz seats are used by the famous chair manufacturer Flototto . The chairs are in excellent condition, very comfortable, strong but light weight and refined. We service each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. We specialise in high quality vintage dining chairs and have a large range.
