1960’s Medium Sized Mid Century Desk – Cabinet.


Superb practical piece of mid century storage by the Czech maker Up Zavody. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The cabinet features three good sized drawers at the bottom with solid handles. Above these sits a small shelf. The top features a pull down flap opening to reveal a beautifully made and practical desk, the desk retains the original key. The little vertical filing compartments separated with glass that can be removed. The whole cabinet is made in a mixture of sapele, oak and birch veneers, beautifully made and in exceptional condition. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet and all doors and drawers open smoothly.
