1970’s Large Double Mid Century Open Bookcase – Glass Fronted. Beautiful simple and classic mid century shelving unit sourced in the Czech Republic. The frame is sapele and birch wood and is original throughout. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture. We sell high quality vintage and our workshop has gently restored this piece to bring out it’s original colour. Internal dimensions: Bottom sections (each cube) 61H x 76W x 21.5D. Top section (each cube) 47H x 76W x 21.5D shelves have three adjustment spaces. Middle free floating shelves 26D x 80W 6 adjustment spaces. Both the top and bottom wooden cubes have the original glass sliding doors which run smoothly. A stunning practical piece.
The wooden cubes/base can be easily removed for practical delivery. When assembled the piece is very strong and stable.
