The distorted faces are reminiscent of the portraits of Pablo Picasso, a contemporary and clear influence of Aluma Masvidal. This piece evokes a journey, with the perspectival lines on the left of the composition hinting at the titular 'highway', and the overall translucency of the colour suggesting this is a view through a window.
