Description
This elegant watercolour by Joan Scott depicts a graceful group of pink lilies set before a tranquil garden landscape with a lake and mature trees beyond. Executed with delicate line work and transparent washes, the composition combines botanical accuracy with a decorative sensibility, allowing the sweeping forms of the lilies to dominate the foreground while the softly rendered landscape provides depth and atmosphere.
