Desire Haine (1900 - 1989) was a Belgian artist of note who trained in Brussels at the Art Academy, and then travelled extensively in Europe, gaining the many expressive inspirations and techniques which make his work so unique. He is also a master in watercolours, but this oil fully evidences his mastery of colour and composition and is framed in a classic gilt frame with a green inner trim.
