What a wonderfully tactile, sculptural beauty...


Originally from the Limousin region of south central France, this thick slice of cypress (I think) has an amazing golden grain. With three splayed legs and fabulous ironwork it was probably meant as a chopping block, but hasn't been used as such and would make a beautiful side table.
