A 1920s original oil painting depicting a country cottage scene with chickens scratching in the cottage garden. The work is signed with a monogram, possibly 'AS' and dated '20.

The painting sits in a beautiful, unglazed, chip carved gilt wooden frame with corner details. It has a historic repair to the canvas, around the top right corner of the cottage doorway, please refer to the photographs.
