Derek King is a contemporary Scottish artist, now based in Liverpool. This work is one of four studies in oil of the same model, Louise, all completed in 2017. Please see our listings for details of the other three paintings in the series.

I love the soft, muted shades, complimented by a simple, ebonised wooden frame. Derek's work is stunning, with the set of four being particularly striking together.
