Item Details

A beautiful 18th century antique oak settle with a loose cushioned seat. The antique oak settle has a four panelled back rest, with shaped open arms. The antique settle has a solid three plank oak seat, with a loose tapestry style cushion, which has recently been professionally reupholstered. Raised on three cabriole front legs and two square stile legs to the rear. A particularly pleasing example.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and fading to the arms (pictured). The panelled backrest has some age-related shrinkage and a split (pictured). There is minor evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak settle remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a rather good example of an antique settle.
