Item Details

A neat early 20th century antique beech and elm smoker’s bow or captain’s chair. The antique smoker’s bow chair has a shaped back and arms raised on turned upright supports. The antique smoker’s bow chair has a solid elm seat, raised on four turned legs with double ‘H’ spindle stretcher supports. Beautiful grain and colour throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the seat and backrest (pictured), also fading to the arms and legs (pictured). The antique smoker’s bow chair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a rather pleasing example.
