This Antique Victorian Rosewood Vanity Box is a beautifully crafted piece with a fitted interior and a secret drawer, perfect for storing precious items. Made in the United Kingdom during the mid-Victorian era, this original vanity box exudes a sense of elegance and history. The rich rosewood material and intricate design make it a charming addition to any antique collection.


The box is in good condition and fully fitted with the original covers and bottles the tops are silver plated and all have the star cut on the bottom which was prevalent during the Victorian Era. The velvet has faded from years of use but is all original. The hidden drawer has a brass pin that holds it in place again, all original and the top front has two handles that are hidden to lift up the front cover and reveals another storage area below (see photo's for more details).


A truly beautiful item with mother of pearl access on the cartouche and around the keyhole (no key with box) there is a small bit of loss to the mother of pearl around the key hole (again, see photos' for more details). The box measures 17.5 cm tall, 30 cm across the front and 23 cm from front to back.
