Item Description
A country-made antique George III farmhouse chair, of simple joined oak construction.
A decorative design with down-swept arms on chamfered supports and a solid plank seat raised on square legs with straight stretchers. The oak is a rich honey colour throughout with an unusual feature of contrasting oak and ebonised oak slats on the back.
Dating from the early 19th century period, circa 1800 in date.
It is in very good vintage condition, it is a well-made chair and the joints feel secure, there is some wear commensurate with age.
Approximate measurements 108cm high x 53cm wide x 49cm deep. The seat height is roughly 42.5cm.
