ANTIQUE ORIGINAL VICTORIAN FOLK ART PAINTING Depicting a neat little row of brick-built workers' cottages in a rural setting with the most charming figures, a woman in a bonnet in her front garden and two men passing by in the street, one on foot holding a basket and one on a bicycle. Inscribed verso, ‘Barrack Cottages, Shermanbury, Sussex’. Shermanbury is a village in the Horsham district of West Sussex. In its original gilt frame. There is some wear to the painting which can be seen in the photographs but nothing too serious. Overall measurements: 54cm x 42cm.
