ANTIQUE RUSTIC WOODEN CIRCULAR CRICKET TABLE


A handsome and stylish cricket table of simple form with a chunky three-plank circular top raised on three tapered legs united by stretchers with a triangular lower shelf.


A scrubbed pine top over a wonderfully rich honey colour base with oodles of character.


Probably English in origin, the last owner was Cornish and by repute it came from a house which is now owned by the National Trust.


Probably dating from the early to mid-19th century period.


It is in good vintage condition and still very usable. There is wear throughout, which adds to its character and tells its story. It has a rustic feel to it, yet feels sturdy and secure. There is some old, dead woodworm present, which has been treated for good measure.
