ANTIQUE POND YACHT


A charming and handsome scratch built model of a single masted gaff rigged cutter. Made with a wonderful attention to detail


An early example dating from the late 19th century, circa 1890 in date.


These would have originally been used in ponds all over Britain and raced against other similar boats for fun but also in organised clubs. Now an extremely decorative, sculptural piece in its own right.


It is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use throughout. We believe this wear adds to its decorative charm and overall patina and it therefore works well as a decorative piece. It probably could be restored to be used in a pond again if so desired.
