An early 19th century French salting pot.

Crafted from earthenware with a rustic bulbous shape sitting on a tilt, decorated with repetitive thumb pleats along the edge of the pot lip.

This primitive handcrafted ponne is akin to Japanese ‘wabi-sabi’ pottery and has a striking weathered patina with tones of greys and oranges.

A stunning sculptural addition for interior or garden.
