Item Details

French antique long and thin brass door keyhole escutcheon. Pretty and traditional French style and shape. Used to decorate keyholes for doors and drawers on furniture it dates from the 1920's. It is gilded bronze, known as "Ormolu" which was a typical of decorative finish for this era. It could be used for its intended purpose, if you are restoring an old cupboard or it would look great as a decorative piece in its own right. height 20 cm, width 2 cm or appox 8" x 1"
