Vintage C. 1940's original oil painting on card. By French artist Alfred Veillet (1882 - 1958) A charming little painting believed to depict a historical site of Italian ruins. Beautifully painted with loose expressive brushwork, painterly texture, and a slightly heightened colour palette. Signed lower left. Complete with the original frame which is included in the sale for free.
Good vintage condition with light, surface dirt. The frame has cosmetic signs of age and use.
