C.1940s original oil painting on artist's board. By French artist Odette Durand (1885 - 1972) known as 'Dett'. An elegant room interior, with grand monocled gentleman absorbed in the morning newspaper. Beautifully captured, with lots of character and presence. Atelier stamp verso. Presented in an earlier, gilt wood and gesso frame.
Good vintage condition with a few minor surface blemishes. The frame has cosmetic signs of age and use.
