A visually striking Swedish Baroque style commode featuring a classic arbalete-fronted design. The piece is characterised by its distinctive "crossbow" shaped facade, with three deep, undulating drawers that provide a sense of movement and elegance. The chest has been finished in a contemporary, distressed chalk paint in Farrow & Ball "Hague Blue", revealing hints of the wood beneath to create an authentic, aged patina. It is adorned with decorative circular ring pulls and intricate scrolling escutcheons. The piece sits on robust, hand-turned bun feet, typical of the period's sturdy yet refined aesthetic. The drawers have been all restored and run smoothly.
