A late 19th-century Austro-Hungarian metamorphic bench into a table with its original chalk-white paint to the surface, set against natural, wood.  The piece was made for rural households, where the bench could be pulled down to create a flat surface to be used as a bed.  Now, it makes for a wonderful large-scale coffee table.
