Item Details

A mid-century portrait work by German artist Lotte Wolf-Koch (1909 - 1977), printed using a wood block technique and painted by hand,signed.   The work is in soft black on an off-white paper, and has been mounted in a hand-painted wooden frame.

Wolf-Koch trained in Nuremberg in the 1930s. Her work was influenced by the expressionist movement, prevalaent in Germany  of the time.
