A rare to find ceramic handled jug from Puglia in southern Italy C1850. It has a warm ivory coloured glaze and is decorated with a simple banded stripe around its belly. These handled vessels were originally designed as chamber pots however the exceptional condition of this piece suggests it has never or rarely been used. H19cm, W22.5cm (inc handle)
