Item Details

A set of 4 Carimate chairs designed by Vico Magistretti in their original red laquer finish.  This glossy, semi-translucent aniline finish was applied to the chairs C1960/70 under the stewardship of Italian maker Cassina.   The set consists of 2 carver chairs and 2 pieces without arms.  The dyed finish has a wonderful patina, from time spent in the sun, creating a softened red tone.  All of the seats have been professionally re-rushed, using traditional materials and techniques.
