Item Details

Style: Fabulous, 1970s bamboo chest of drawers featuring three drawers, gracefully curved front legs, and rattan lattice sides. Crafted in natural bamboo, it has been later ebonised for a sleek, modern finish and fitted with updated hardware for enhanced style and functionality. There is a small circle of damage to the top, commensurate with age.


Story: In the 1970s, bamboo and rattan furniture surged in popularity, epitomising the decade’s relaxed, bohemian, nature‑inspired style. Building on trends from the ’50s and ’60s, these pieces featured organic, curved forms and an airy, lightweight feel, becoming the hallmark of interior design at the time.
