Highlighted by double horizontal back rails, hand turned button finials, and tapered legs, this unique accent piece showcases a rich, dark stained finish with a beautifully aged waxed patina over lighter wood. Circa 1890-1900. Seat height 44cm.


Story: Crafted for durability and everyday use, these hand crafted provincial chairs inspired mid-century modernists such as Charlotte Perriand, and most notably influenced her iconic No.19 Bauche design.
