Style: This beautiful elegant jardiniere features fine wirework construction, with a later added interior wooden support for plant pots, upheld by a classic wrought iron tri-form base. Finished in white, the piece shows characteristic wear indicative of age and outdoor exposure, including some expected damage to the delicate wire detailing.


Story: French wirework jardinières were prominent decorative pieces, sought after for both homes and gardens. They flourished primarily throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, peaking during the Victorian era, a period defined by a profound cultural fascination with botany and the practice of indoor gardening.
