Style: An elegant 1930s kidney-shaped side table crafted from charming mahogany with satinwood inlay. Features a luxurious marble top, pretty pierced gilt galleries, and decorative ormolu mounts. The lower tray showcases exquisite floral marquetry, complemented by graceful curved legs with ormolu toe mounts. Includes one drawer. Gilt tarnishing consistent with age.


Story: Featuring the clean lines and geometric forms characteristic of the Empire period, a style that drew heavily from classical antiquity, this table design originated in the early 19th century. These pieces were frequently found in pairs, serving as elegant bedside tables.
