Style: This elegant, large French cloche is mouthblown, featuring a beautifully curvaceous profile and a perfectly formed knob. Still bearing charming remnants of moss and garden greenery inside it, this piece serves as a delightful sculptural accent, functioning perfectly as a miniature greenhouse or a striking display item. There is a matching cloche also listed but this has some slight damage to the base, and is listed separately at a lower price.


Story: The cloche, a term derived from the French word for "bell," refers to a distinctive bell-shaped glass cover. Historically, these covers served gardeners as miniature greenhouses, shielding delicate plants from frost and harsh weather. Their utility has since evolved, and cloches are now frequently employed as elegant decorative accents or display domes.


There are two the same, but one with slight damage (see other listing). If bought as a pair an additional reduction in price to £295 per pair.
