At the centre of the backrest, a carved panel has been cleverly painted to represent two birds flanking a regal crown. A unique, one of a kind piece.
In addition to the measurements the seat heigh is 46cm.
Story: Scandinavian painted furniture blends practicality with artistic flair. Using bright, light reflecting hues eases the long, dark winters. Birds and flowers dominate as symbolic designs in Scandinavian painted furniture, especially within the folk art traditions of Norway and Sweden - from the 18th through to the mid‑19th century.
