Style: Grand, vintage hand‑carved oak altar floor candle holders in an elegant Gothic style. Each top features a scalloped crown that frames a recessed circular hub, set with a metal pricket. These candle hubs sit on richly detailed, fluted columns adorned with acanthus‑leaf motifs, all anchored by a solid, scroll decorated tripod base. Ideal for casting a warm, dramatic glow over holiday festivities and special celebrations.


Story: Large, floor-standing wooden altar candle holders developed from simple medieval wooden supports into the more elaborate, carved, and sometimes polychromed pieces of the late 18th and 19th centuries. Tracing their origins to the simple wooden supports of the Middle Ages, large floor-standing wooden altar candle holders became increasingly elaborate, featuring carving and occasional polychromy by the late 18th and 19th centuries.
