This charming chair showcases intricate and delicate spindle-turned backs, legs, and connecting stretchers, all supporting a well-maintained unique later added braided sea grass seat. A stylish addition to any setting.


Story: Regency faux bamboo chairs became fashionable in Britain around 1800, fueled by the Prince Regent's admiration for Asian styles and John Nash's design for Brighton's Royal Pavilion. Crafted from wood turned and painted to mimic real bamboo, these distinctive chairs were celebrated for their light, informal elegance.
