To appreciate the quality of this table, you do really need to be standing in front of it, but I will do my best to try to translate into words just how lovely this table is!


It is English and dates from about 1890. Made of solid walnut, it has lovely shaped, fluted front legs. It has a lovely, figured walnut top, with a shelf underneath where one could put newspapers, or the odd game of Monopoly or chess. It also has a shelf across the bottom.


It has lovely shaped brackets to the front and to the side. I almost think this table (for the person who made it) was a labour of love — so much attention to detail! As you walk around it, the feet, the shape of the back legs, the large, sweeping brackets that support the undershelf and the little, unobtrusive shaped back... it’s just FLIPPING lovely!


We will wax it up, check it over and make sure it’s AS GOOD AS IT CAN BE before it leaves our Warehouse in Stafford.
