Item Description
A beautiful mid to late 18th century Georgian chest of drawers, pine with mahogany veneer and boxwood inlay. The configuration of the top drawers around a small cupboard section would suggest the piece is likely East Anglian in origin, though unusual in the sense that it is made of veneered pine, rather than the traditional oak.
The overall structural condition is good, with only cosmetic chips, bumps and scratches (of which I have tried to photograph all) as expected for a well-used piece of its age. The carcass splits in two to facilitate easy access and movement.
