Fabulous mid 1800's armchair from a chateau near Orleans, France.

With a fan shaped back rest, the top edges are scrolled and the frame is painted in cornflour blue and lilac.

There are elements of the original water gilding coming through via the acanthus leaves which decorate the frame.

The chair has a loose seat cushion and sits on turned legs on 4 brass castors.

The floral fabric is in good, serviceable condition with only a few, mainly unnoticeable, marks here and there.
