Pair of 19th century mercury glass butler’s gazing balls
Made from mercury filled glass, referred to as Victorian butlers gazing balls, these decorative objects would have been placed in the serving section of a large estate dinning room to help assist the butler in seeing the dinners when his back was turned, therefore being always attentive.

Completely solid in structure and form without any breaks, aged naturally across all the surfaces including missing reflective mercury areas, as shown in the photos provided.
